Today’s message is dedicated to the honest police officers who serve this country with integrity and sacrifice. First and foremost, I salute them.
These are the officers who are officially assigned 8-hour duties but, in reality, serve 24 hours a day.
In the morning, they appear before the High Court.
In the afternoon, they attend proceedings in the Sessions Court.
By evening, they report to SPs and DIGs in their offices.
And at night, they handle investigations, operations, and emergency calls.
This is the reality of an honest police officer’s life.
The Sacrifice Behind the Uniform
These are the officers who:
- Face armed criminals and sometimes embrace martyrdom in encounters.
- Earn modest salaries — often between 30,000 to 70,000 PKR.
- Pay house rent, utility bills, and their children’s school fees from limited income.
- Spend their entire careers in service without ever owning luxury or wealth.
- Continue to work honestly despite the challenges.
Yet, because of corruption by some within the system, even these honest officers suffer reputational damage. They are often judged by the actions of the corrupt few.
A Reality We Must Understand
The police department is one institution without which society cannot function.
Imagine, even for one single day, if there were no police department in the country.
The level of chaos and disorder would be unimaginable.
Law and order are not automatic, they are maintained through constant effort, risk, and discipline.
A Message of Respect
To every honest police officer:
You are our brothers.
If you ever need support, guidance, or legal assistance, our doors remain open.
You deserve respect for serving with integrity.
May God protect those who work honestly and fulfill their duty with sincerity.
A Strong Message to the Corrupt
At the same time, this is also a clear message to:
- Officers who register false FIRs
- Those involved in fake encounters
- Those who practice torture
- Those who take bribes
- Those who misuse authority
The struggle against corruption will continue. Accountability is necessary for reform. The uniform represents honor, and it must not be used for injustice.
A Message to Senior Officers
To senior police leadership:
Please treat your subordinate officers with fairness and compassion.
They work long hours under immense pressure.
If minor mistakes occur, handle them with understanding rather than hostility.
Strong institutions are built not only on discipline, but also on respect and dignity.
Final Thoughts
An honest police officer is one of the strongest pillars of society.
But a corrupt one weakens the entire system.
Reform, accountability, and appreciation must go hand in hand.
Because justice is not maintained by fear, it is maintained by integrity.
