Our vehicle was taken from us forcefully. We were told that if we paid 100,000 rupees on the spot, the vehicle would be released. Otherwise, we would not get it back. We are poor people, where could we possibly arrange such a large amount of money?
For three months, we were not even informed about the whereabouts of our vehicle. When we finally learned something, we discovered that it had been completely stripped. Every single part had been removed. Now it is nothing more than an empty shell. It cannot even run anymore.
We built this vehicle with great difficulty. We sold our motorcycle. We sold household belongings. We tightened our belts and saved money through committee contributions. We worked day and night to arrange everything. We live in a rented house, struggling to make ends meet. This vehicle was our only source of income, it provided us with daily bread.
Instead of helping us, the police created even more problems for us. They demanded bribes. If we had the money, we would have paid it. But we simply do not have it. One day, they kept my child with them all day and released him at 10 PM. Since then, we have been going back and forth, being told different things every time. No one listens to us.
Wherever we go, our voices are ignored. We are poor, who listens to the poor? We are told to go here and there, but nothing gets resolved. We are humiliated and dismissed.
Now our vehicle is ruined. It cannot operate. There is nothing left in it. We are asking for justice. If the vehicle cannot be returned in working condition, we should at least be compensated so that we can move forward and earn a living again.
Our family situation is extremely difficult. My husband, who used to earn for the family, is no longer able to support us. There are three small children at home. Our financial condition has become unbearable. We are struggling even for basic food.
We are not asking for luxury, we are asking for fairness. We are asking for help. We are asking for someone to listen to us and resolve our issue.
We request the concerned authorities and kind-hearted people to please look into our matter and help us find justice.
Thank you.
